Dr. Torngee Malu's Official Statement on the Katsina Ala Destruction.

THIS MADNESS MUST STOP AND STOP RIGHT NOW

It is unfortunate that a military officer was a victim of the frequent armed robbery attacks in Kataina Ala Local government of Benue state. 

I solicite with the family of the deceased and the Nigerian Military. I wish to however draw the attention of the President and commander in Chief of the armed forces over the killings of innocent villagers and destruction of properties unleashed by military men to my people in Katsina Ala in reaction to the killing of one of her members. These barbaric actions must stop and stop Now. 

The people of Kataina Ala have been victims of similar killings for several years now and live in perpetual fear, unleashing the military to punish the sufferers of the same crime is not just criminal but cowardice on the part of the government. 

I hereby call on ALL Benue Representatives at the state and national level especially our distinguished Senator, Senator Barnabas Gemade and our representative Mr. Udende to immediately take action as an emergency to restore peace and order to Katsina Ala and for the military to fully compensate the Victims of this disaster. 

We are tired of this reactionary killings and destruction of our people.
